Lunch & Play:

A Lunch & Play Program is available until 3:00pm for a nominal fee per hour. The afternoon program is staffed by Nursery School personnel. The Lunch & Play sign up form and a packed lunch should be sent to school with the child on the day(s) of participation. All children may attend Lunch & Play any weekday when school is in session, even if it's a different day than when they are normally in class. Top

Conferences:

Scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences are held twice a year, in November and March. PMNS has many opportunities for parent involvement, such as room parents, fundraisers and parent representation on the Nursery School Management Council. Top

Hours:

School hours are from 9:00am to 12:00pm for nursery school. Four-day children come Monday through Thursday. Three-day children come on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Two-day children come on Tuesday and Thursday. Top

Transportation:

PMNS offers a carpool line service, which allows parents to drop-off and pick-up their children without getting out of the car. PMNS staff members assist children into the school. Parents are always welcome to accompany their children to and from the classroom, but our carpool line offers a way to build independence and confidence for the children as well as convenience for our families.

Transportation to the school is furnished by the parents. We encourage parents to organize car pools and will assist in their arrangement at the beginning of school in September. Notification is required when a child is to go home in another carpool. Top

Health:

Students are required to have immunization shots. A form giving assurance of this will be provided by the school & must be signed by a physician or physician assistant & returned to school at time of enrollment. Illnesses and absences should be reported to the school prior to 9:00am. Parents will be notified if their child has been exposed to a contagious disease (chicken pox, mumps, German measles). Top

Dress:

Acceptable daily dress for children is play clothes. Party clothes may be worn on special occasions. Our program includes daily outdoor play, weather permitting. Such items as mittens, coats, hats, boots, and the like should be brought and clearly marked with the child’s full name. Umbrellas are not permitted. Top

Weather:

You should listen to the radio for School #855; we will follow the closing decisions made in the Great Valley School District.
If the district is closed or on a 2-hour delay, PMNS will be closed. Snow days are not made-up at the end of the year. Top

Birthdays:

Birthdays are special days at school. Parents are requested to contact teachers in advance. A PMNS tradition is to donate a birthday book to the school library. Top

Camp:

PMNS offers an optional summer camp for current students. For an additional cost in early June, current students can attend 8 fun-filled mornings of arts and crafts, water play, trike riding and lots of outside summer fun. Top
